Bachmann Church & State
Much has been written about Sarah Palin’s dominionist view of church and state. There is no separation of the two in Palin’s mind. After all, the U.S. has been handpicked by God to be run by a chosen few of true believers. (For more on this, visit www.palintrojanhorse.com/index.shtml)
But Sarah Palin pales, one might say, to Michele Bachmann’s rhetoric. In the following YouTube video, Bachmann is seen addressing Congress over the issue of abortion. If anyone should be on a pulpit it would have to be Michele Bachmann. If there is any doubt remaining that Bachmann believes that God wants us to use the political process as a means to enforcing God’s will, this clip will male it very clear. Have some tissues ready as you watch this incredible, over- the -top emotional plea (she cries) in the United States Congress:
Meanwhile is it any surprise that one of Bachmann’s pals in Pat Robertson, the (in) famous evangelical TV mogul who has claimed that God will send pestilence and cataclysmic events to punish sinners who vote for Democrats. Robertson espouses far-fetched and misguided ideas like God sending a meteor to Florida after Disney extended an open invitation to gays. Robertson is also the guy who helped his adulterous son Gordon carry on a relationship with a gal named Gigi Lacey, all of which at this point is the worst kept secret in the evangelical world. This has not stopped the Robertson boys from extolling God’s will and the truth in the Ten Commandments while admonishing followers not to be sinners.
So Representative Bachmann not only displays her own unique brand of dominionism but also keeps company with a multi-millionaire EC (evangelical con) who accumulated those millions through exploitation of the faithful. Bachmann would be well advised not to continue to attack Obama for his associations. It might just come back to bite her – again.
